Terms and Conditions

The rules governing use of HighEndDIY’s free tools, QR generator, editorial content, guides, and downloadable resources.

1. Acceptance

These Terms govern your use of https://highenddiy.com and its related services. By accessing the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, use the Website only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

HighEndDIY provides educational content, a browser-based QR generator, design inspiration, planning tools, calculators, style finders, blueprints, and related resources. Calculator outputs, recommendations, and examples are estimates or general suggestions. They are not architectural, engineering, construction, financial, legal, medical, or other professional advice.

4. Accounts

General Website use currently requires no account. If accounts are introduced, you must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, notify us of suspected unauthorized access, and accept responsibility for activity performed through your account. We may suspend an account used fraudulently or unlawfully.

5. Permitted QR use

You may create and download QR codes for lawful information and assets you are authorized to use. You are responsible for the payload, destination, logo rights, placement, accessibility, printing, testing, safety, and legal compliance. HighEndDIY does not host the destination, operate a tracking redirect, shorten URLs, or retain a copy of the QR payload.

6. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, original Website text, branding, layouts, graphics, photographs, illustrations, calculators, blueprints, templates, and software are owned by or licensed to HighEndDIY and protected by applicable law. You receive a limited, revocable, nonexclusive license for personal, lawful, noncommercial use.

If you submit feedback, photographs, comments, or other content, you retain your original rights. You grant HighEndDIY a nonexclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and display the content only as reasonably necessary for the requested feature or purpose disclosed at submission. You represent that you have the rights required to submit it.

The Website may contain external links and Google AdSense advertisements. HighEndDIY does not control every third-party destination and does not guarantee its claims, products, security, availability, or privacy practices. An advertisement or link is not automatically an endorsement.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability. We are not responsible for outages caused by maintenance, providers, security events, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Website is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, or uninterrupted operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HighEndDIY and its owners, personnel, contributors, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from Website use. Where a monetary limitation is permitted, aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount paid to HighEndDIY during the preceding 12 months or USD $100. This does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify HighEndDIY from claims, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful Website use, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by New York law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to mandatory consumer protections, disputes shall be brought in the state courts located in Queens County, New York, or the federal court serving that location.
