HighEndDIY policy
Advertising Policy
How HighEndDIY separates advertising from editorial work, protects reader trust, restricts inappropriate promotions, and handles ad-related privacy.
Effective date and last updated: July 20, 2026
1. Advertising model
HighEndDIY’s advertising program uses Google AdSense where advertising has been approved, configured, and activated. Advertising revenue helps fund free content and tools.
2. Clear separation from editorial content
Advertising does not determine independent editorial conclusions. Paid placements should be identifiable through labels such as “Advertisement,” “Sponsored,” “Paid Partnership,” or “Affiliate Link.” Advertisements must not impersonate navigation, editorial recommendations, generator controls, or download buttons.
3. Editorial independence
Advertisers may not:
- Purchase a favorable editorial opinion or ranking.
- Require removal of truthful criticism.
- Approve an independent article’s conclusions.
- Receive undisclosed preferential treatment.
- Condition payment on deceptive traffic or advertisement interaction.
4. Placement standards
Ad placements should remain visually distinct from content and maintain layout stability. They must not obstruct essential navigation, form labels, QR previews, Generate, Reset, PNG, or SVG controls. HighEndDIY will not ask users to click advertisements or disguise advertisements as site functionality.
5. Restricted advertising
We do not knowingly accept direct advertising for illegal goods, fraud, counterfeit products, hate or discrimination, sexually explicit material, tobacco, unlawful controlled substances, unlicensed gambling, malware, phishing, dangerous DIY practices, misleading health or financial claims, or products that infringe intellectual-property rights.
Programmatic advertisements are supplied by third parties and cannot all be reviewed before display. HighEndDIY uses available controls to restrict unsuitable categories and may block or report an advertisement after review.
6. Advertising privacy
Google and approved advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver or measure advertisements. Where required, optional advertising storage depends on consent, users can revise their choices, and recognized opt-out signals are processed as required. HighEndDIY does not knowingly use a child’s data for personalized advertising. See the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
7. Affiliate relationships
Affiliate links, when used, will be disclosed near the relevant content. Compensation does not guarantee favorable coverage and ordinarily does not increase the stated purchase price.
8. Report an advertisement
Email help@HighEndDIY.com with the page URL, screenshot, advertiser or product name, approximate date and time, and a concise description of the concern.
